Toxic Components

While not toxic, pistachios contain substances that can be harmful to dogs. Urushiol, found in poison ivy, can cause allergic reactions in dogs. Aflatoxin, a toxin produced by mold on nut shells, can lead to weakness, lethargy, gastrointestinal issues, and seizures.
